Conceived as a showcase for a contractor specializing in concrete, the house is comprised of ICF (insulating concrete forms) for a basement level recreation area, and a blade wall of cast-in-place concrete that extended through the house with a series of skylights mounted against it to highlight the casting process. The entry sequence bridgeway hovers over an atrium space to the basement level before opening up to the vaulted public areas. The sleeping quarters are anchored by double master suites that take advantage of the lush backyard area and a sunken courtyard in front which doubles to bring daylight into the basement level.
