The Polynesian Queen has been standing tall on McDowell Road for decades. It is so unique, everyone notices it, even when it was used as car rental location. The original tenant was Dairy Queen when the building was developed in 1964, and was part of an overall Polynesian style master plan. When our client heard that the building was going to be demolished, he approached the owner to repurpose the structure. We have since worked together with the contractor and city to save the building by disassembling the structural components. The Queen will be reconstructed on Hayden Road at the Trail West development, which is getting a refresh of its own, and will be a new hub for the community.
