Facet is a de facto extension of the Scottsdale Civic Park into a dining experience that engages the landscape on the ground level and then hovers above the tree canopy on the upper level. Both levels have telescoping window walls that bring the outdoors in, yet provide complete enclosure without losing visibility of the park space. The dining areas are wrapped in a faceted wood clad plane that begins at the basement level extending upward then folding out to create the roof enclosure. The ground level is the primary dining room with a bar flanking the corner and a heavy foliaged patio area that extends into the park. The upper level lounge, once open, has the feel of a beach palapa or poolside pavilion with a large bar element and perimeter balconies.
