"Oliver’s is a very special addition to this retail plaza and to South Scottsdale. It’s a piece of Scottsdale history that’s been completely reimagined and revived."
- Tom Frenkel, Owner (The Eleanor, Oliver's)

Using a piece of Scottsdale's history, Oliver's Modern American centralizes around the relocated frame of the old Polynesian Dairy Queen structure, originally built in 1964 on McDowell Road. Now serving as the anchor to the redeveloped restaurant and retail plaza near Hayden and Osborn roads, the reused frame houses Oliver's, keeping the same midcentury design elements of the original structure including the use of lava rock. A new parking lot, courtyards and patios, and landscaping will transform the previous aging shopping plaza into a community space that preserves some of Scottsdale’s local history.
