Adjacent to the canal in Arcadia sits our 42nd Place Residence project. The owners wanted to demolish the existing residence and build their dream home. Taking advantage of the lot's shape and views we created a front patio that acts as an extension of the kitchen and allows the homeowners east views of Camelback Mountain. The patio is shaded during afternoon hours where the family can grill and enjoy the outdoor fireplace. The west patio is great for morning hours or enjoying the pool. The main living space was designed with sliding doors that open completely to the east and west patios. The main living space also have a higher vaulted ceiling with clerestory windows on all sides. The windows bring in natural light at all times of the day and glows in the evenings while the space is used.
